About 100% Seagrass Carpets
We prize Seagrass for its elegant, almost austere simplicity. Its strong weave means that you can really experience that authentic woven floor texture underfoot. The yarn itself is plain and neat, so that the pattern of the weave really stands out. When it's put into a room, the seagrass's firm fibres have a way of reflecting the light and, in doing so, enhancing the sense of space in any room. Crucial Trading's seagrass is harvested from paddy fields that are flooded with sea water as the crop grows. This makes for strong plant and, in turn, a strong yarn. Seagrass is slightly waxy by nature, making it naturally stain resistant. In its natural state it starts out as a sage green hue that gradually develops in your home into a sandy shade, and this process is accompanied by the scent of grass drying in the sun. Another of the sensory pleasures that comes from living with a natural floorcovering. Not recommended for high moisture areas.
